Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Applied Computer Science
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
  • Experience utilizing Azure or Google cloud services
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience utilizing Docker and Application Insights
  • Experience utilizing API design/development, REST, SOA, OOAD, and Design patterns
  • Experience utilizing REST APIs/SOAP, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, Spring Framework, SpringBoot, Java, and J2EE

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to gather and review software requirements and user stories, providing accurate estimates and creating detailed software design specifications
  • Execute specific development methodologies using various programming languages
  • Create and execute automated test plans and strategies by collaborating with engineers, architects, and clients to validate test environments, data, and results
  • Perform dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing
  • Provide production application support, troubleshoot configuration and environment issues, and support the software deployment process
  • Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable microservices using the Spring Boot framework
  • Utilize Azure cloud services to deploy, manage, and scale microservices including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, and Azure Functions
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases by handling data modeling, querying, and performance tuning
  • Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless communication between microservices and external systems
  • Utilize Docker to package microservices for deployment
  • Integrate solutions like Azure Monitor and Application Insights to track microservices’ performance and health
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Work closely with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to meet business requirements and align with the overall system architecture
  • Debug and resolve issues by providing technical support as needed
  • Develop new components or update and customize existing ones using API design/development, REST, SOA, OOAD, Design patterns, and knowledge of application and software architecture
  • Perform analysis, design, coding, testing, deploying, and supporting applications
  • Utilize WSDLs, SOAP, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, Spring Framework, SpringBoot, Java, and J2EE
