Requirements

Candidates should possess over 7 years of professional experience in building backend applications, with Python as their primary language. A solid background in developing distributed, cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS, is required. Familiarity with REST API design, microservices, and event-driven architectures is necessary. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for writing clean, maintainable, and testable code are essential. Proven ability to collaborate effectively in remote, cross-functional teams and strong English communication skills are also required. Experience in mentoring, code review, and technical leadership is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Lead Python Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services primarily using Python. They will develop and enhance APIs, ensuring they are secure, performant, and user-friendly. The role involves leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, and RDS to deliver robust cloud-native solutions. Responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of new features with a focus on scalability and reliability. Collaboration with product, design, and QA teams to bring ideas from concept to production is expected. Improving automation and developer efficiency through modern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Serverless Framework) is part of the role. Additionally, the engineer will mentor and support other developers to elevate the team's technical standards.
