Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 7 years of product management experience, particularly within a data-driven environment. Demonstrated experience leading product strategy and roadmap development for complex platforms is essential, and a strong understanding of data access and query services is highly desirable. Familiarity with open-source technologies and collaborative development environments is beneficial.
As the Lead Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product lifecycle management of the Wikidata Query Service (WDQS) and related successor services, collaborating with technical stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into prioritized system requirements. You will also develop and execute product roadmaps, guide Wikidata query services to meet growth in data and demand, and serve as a thought partner to senior leadership and affiliate partners on strategic and tactical roadmap development.
Operates Wikipedia and free knowledge projects
The Wikimedia Foundation operates Wikipedia and other free knowledge projects, aiming to create a world where everyone can freely access and share knowledge.
