Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and possess at least 7 years of experience in product management, with a focus on data platforms or knowledge graphs. Demonstrated experience in leading product strategy and roadmap development for complex systems is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with open source technologies and data infrastructure is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

As the Lead Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product lifecycle management of the Wikidata Query Service (WDQS) and related successor services, collaborating with technical stakeholders to identify user needs and translate them into prioritized system requirements. You will also develop and maintain the short- and long-term roadmap for Wikidata Platform, ensuring stable, reliable, and sustainable data access, and guiding Wikidata query services to meet growth in data and demand. Furthermore, you will serve as a thought partner to senior leadership and affiliate partners on strategic and tactical roadmap development, and work closely with Wikimedia Deutschland (WMDE) product management and engineering counterparts.
