Requirements

Candidates must have 7+ years of ML engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required. Deep expertise in large-scale personalization systems, modern ML architectures (two-tower, transformer-based, graph neural networks), and strong system design skills for ML infrastructure are essential. Proven ability to mentor engineers, drive technical decisions, and manage stakeholder relationships and project delivery are also necessary. Experience in adtech, e-commerce, or content platforms, published ML contributions, experience with multi-objective optimization, and knowledge of reinforcement learning for personalization are considered nice to have.

Responsibilities

The Lead Machine Learning Engineer will lead a team of 3-5 ML engineers in building next-generation personalization and optimization systems. This includes architecting multi-stage ranking systems, defining the technical roadmap aligned with business objectives, and driving improvements in model quality, system reliability, and development velocity. The role involves establishing best practices for model development and deployment, partnering with product, data science, and engineering teams, and contributing hands-on to critical model development (approximately 50% coding).
