Requirements

  • 4+ years of full-time experience in a security function, preferably in an operations or control center setting
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Alarm Monitoring, Access Control, Video Management, and Crisis Communication technology
  • Ability to work in a flexible scheduling environment (rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and disseminating open source or subscription-based intelligence
  • Providing excellent customer service in a high call volume environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced organization; coordinate and manage multiple tasks with limited supervision
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Fidelity’s business operations in Security/Fire/Life Safety Alarm Monitoring; Global Threat Management, Video Monitoring, Incident Management, and dispatching of security and public safety personnel to corporate locations
  • Assisting management in coordinating Fidelity’s security response to incidents that occur on company premises or at corporate events using appropriate communication methods (e.g., medical emergencies, burglar, fire, duress alarms, or business impacting events)
  • Liaising with law enforcement, fire, or other public safety organizations related to emergencies on or near company property
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and disseminating open-source and subscription-based intelligence to help mitigate and report global threats to company property, employees, and partners
  • Documenting, assessing, and reporting on instances of possible threats in the workplace
  • Supporting the travel security program through monitoring of associate travel and accounting for them during events of concern or elevated risk
  • Reporting out of the ordinary or abnormal conditions to the company’s security personnel, management, employees, suppliers, and facilities organization
  • Receiving, evaluating, and disseminating incoming information and reports from company security personnel, contract security officers in the field, and Fidelity associates, suppliers, and local agencies
  • Developing concise, fact-based incident reports for distribution to various Fidelity partners
  • Coordinating service requests for afterhours site access and requests for additional security coverage at retail locations
  • Playing an integral role in helping to develop new security, incident management, and intelligence gathering processes
  • Refining existing GSOC response and escalation procedures
  • Leading the on-duty shift when delegated to by management
  • Supporting and mentoring junior personnel to enhance proficiency with GSOC technology resources, processes, and procedures
