Extensive experience in modeling and analyses of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs)
Extensive experience in planning level designs of transmission lines, substation facilities, and other applicable assets or resources in New England’s electric power system
Experience with power system studies including power flow, transient stability, short circuit, and electromagnetic transient (EMT) analyses
Authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship for work visas)
Responsibilities
Provide subject matter expertise and oversight of power system studies and system solutions development for DER interconnections
Coordinate team assignments for modeling and analysis of DERs’ impact on the transmission system
Lead the development and improvements of standard procedures, processes, methodologies, and documentation for studies and system improvements
Serve as single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on DER matters
Represent the company on regional and national transmission committees (NEPOOL, NERC, NPCC, ISO-NE)
Supervise, assign, prioritize, and direct work performed by other Engineers and staff
Serve as Transmission System Planning team lead for direct report engineers, ensuring satisfactory performance and sound technical mitigation measures
Lead development and maintenance of system models for transmission studies, including collection/review of forecast loads, electric system parameters, and DER modeling for various analyses
Lead DER transmission system impact studies across Eversource service territories, including determining analysis levels, reviewing models, applying standards, developing mitigation solutions, interfacing with stakeholders, and presenting results
Standardize DER transmission system impact studies across all three states, including developing process documents, collaborating with DER Planning and Customer Care, and updating technical data requirements
