Requirements

  • Based in South Korea
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in design; international experience beneficial
  • Bachelor’s degree in architectural, interior design, environmental design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of design processes and computer systems (AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Enscape)
  • Ability to sketch design ideas and visually communicate concept development thoughts ideation
  • Retail industry experience preferred, including retail environments, concepts and programs; knowledge of store environments and their consumer impact
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both Korean and English, including meeting facilitation and presentations; proven ability to effectively communicate complex and/or sensitive topics and concepts to senior leadership
  • Ability to source, screen and manage contractors/external vendors including design and production studios/agencies across multiple territories
  • Proven ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, territories and global
  • Self-starter with ability to take initiative, work without supervision, and advance projects independently on brand and achieving concept goals
  • Track record of innovative use of emerging technology to build impactful spaces, consumer engagement and interaction
  • Ability to work across several design subject areas such as Architecture, Fixtures, Materials and Digital with ease
  • Ability to ideate creative concepts, illustrate ideas, and be hands-on leading projects to completion across Asia Pacific and Latin America

Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned design tasks and workstreams as part of larger projects
  • Collaborate with peers, design counterparts, partners and leadership to ensure alignment on work
  • Apply global store design direction to assigned work, ensuring consistency across environments, alignment with brand priorities, Nike Direct goals, and sustainability objectives
  • Leverage design processes and practices to ensure design results, timelines and budgets are met
  • Deliver high-quality design work and documentation across architecture, fixtures, materials, and spatial planning
  • Ensure outputs are polished, detailed, and on brand
  • Contribute ideas, prototype solutions, and adopt new tools and systems into project workflows
  • Evolve retail concepts and stores, support enhanced product presentation and service engagement, aligning with global concepts creative direction
  • Bring fresh ideas, external inspiration and design insights into projects; share insights with peers and partners to further strengthen store concepts and design
  • Communicate and present work in creative reviews to team/Sr Store Design Manager/Design Director/Sr Creative Director and build presentation materials that effectively communicate
