Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in SAP development and integration, with at least 3 years in a leadership or architect role
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA ABAP development, Fiori/UI5, and integration tools (PI/PO, CPI, API Management)
  • Proven experience in managing external delivery factories and outsourced development teams
  • Strong background in B2B and EDI integration (IDocs, XML, ANSI X12)
  • Experience with SAP BTP, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level support and strategic guidance for SAP development and integration on the SAP S/4HANA platform and BTP
  • Define and drive the technical strategy for SAP custom development and middleware integration governance across global SAP landscapes
  • Oversee the design and implementation of integration frameworks with B2B platforms and EDI networks, ensuring seamless data flow and business continuity
  • Provide leadership in managing Level 3 (L3) support and the end-to-end delivery of technical enhancements, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals
  • Manage and guide external delivery factories, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to development standards across outsourced teams
  • Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of modern SAP technologies including SAP BTP, cloud integration, and DevOps practices
  • Set the vision and roadmap for SAP Development and integration strategy, aligned with enterprise IT and business objectives
  • Lead and mentor internal SAP developers, integration specialists, and technical consultants
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, enterprise architects, and business leaders to prioritize initiatives and ensure technical alignment
  • Oversee the design and delivery of custom developments (ABAP, Fiori/UI5, CDS views) and ensure adherence to clean core principles
  • Lead the implementation of integration solutions using SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, and API Management for B2B and EDI connectivity
  • Ensure technical solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with internal and external standards
  • Provide technical leadership in SAP transformation projects, including S/4HANA migrations, cloud integrations, and legacy modernization
  • Review and approve technical designs, ensuring consistency with SAP best practices and enterprise architecture
  • Support project delivery through architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technical governance
  • Partner with functional leads across Sales, Logistics, Finance, and other domains to understand integration needs and deliver robust technical solutions
  • Engage with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) to ensure IT services meet business expectations and strategic goals
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners for third-party integrations and technical support
  • Establish and enforce development standards, integration protocols, and documentation practices across internal and external teams
  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain high-quality technical documentation for developments, interfaces, and architecture decisions
  • Promote adoption of SAP BTP services, event-driven architecture, and intelligent technologies
  • Drive automation, reusability, and modernization of legacy developments
  • Stay current with SAP innovations and industry trends, recommending strategic improvements
