Requirements

Candidates must have over 10 years of professional software engineering experience in SAP ABAP on SAP S/4HANA and over 5 years of experience building ABAP Cloud extensions using RAP, CDS, and released APIs in SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA. Strong experience with behavior definitions and implementations (managed/unmanaged), EML, CDS views/projections, and RAP services (OData V4) is required.

Responsibilities

The SAP ABAP Cloud Tech Lead will drive extensibility and development across SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP landscapes, focusing on solutions for the Utilities sector. This includes guiding a team of developers, setting engineering and clean-core standards, and defining scalable, upgrade-safe extensibility strategies aligned with SAP cloud principles. Responsibilities encompass architecting and implementing clean-core extensibility approaches, guiding the design and development of SAP Fiori/UI5 solutions, architecting robust integrations and event-driven flows, enforcing high engineering standards with automated testing and CI/CD, ensuring system performance and optimization, and mentoring developers in ABAP Cloud and modern SAP practices.
