Job Description: NLP Researcher (LLMs for Gaming)

Position Overview

Level Infinite, a global gaming brand under Tencent, is seeking a talented and experienced NLP researcher to build Large Language Models (LLMs) specifically for the gaming industry. This role involves developing and improving LLM systems for game AI, NPC interaction, and overall game operations. The goal is to maintain a leading position in the industry by exploring cutting-edge LLM technologies and applications.

Requirements

• Experience: More than 5 years of research and work experience in the Natural Language Processing (NLP) field.
• Education: Background in Computer Science or a related field.
• Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of NLP theoretical foundations, including statistical models and machine learning principles.
  • Hands-on NLP experience and participation in related projects.
  • Familiarity with the principles and training methods of leading industry LLMs (e.g., GPT series, DeepSeek, LLaMA series).
• Skills:
  • Experience in fine-tuning large models.
  • Familiarity with distributed training and debugging of large models (preferred).
  • Experience in text generation, dialogue systems, and game AI (preferred).
• Academic Achievements: Preferred: Academic achievements in top NLP conferences or journals.

Responsibilities

• LLM Development: Build LLMs for the gaming field, encompassing pre-training, instruction fine-tuning, post-training, training and inference acceleration, evaluation, and more.
• System Establishment: Establish and improve theoretical and engineering systems for large language models in games.
• Application Exploration: Explore the application of LLM technology in game AI scenarios, providing intelligent model capabilities for game operations and NPC interaction experiences.
• Technology Tracking: Track and explore cutting-edge technologies and applications of large language models.
