Leadership and people management skills are also required, along with the ability to coordinate a team of linguists and participate in recruitment, training, and performance management.

Responsibilities

As the Language Lead - Kannada, the individual will supervise a list of linguists, own the quality of deliverables for their language on assigned accounts, and participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of the assigned team. Responsibilities include coordinating the team, monitoring KPIs, identifying training needs, coaching linguists, reviewing translations, providing feedback, acting as a liaison for terminology and style issues, supporting onboarding, identifying and implementing solutions for workflow issues, supporting quality management planning and execution, and ensuring language level quality oversight. The role also involves client engagement, including joining calls with client linguistic teams, documenting meetings, implementing client feedback, performing direct reviews with SMEs, and participating in the arbitration process. Furthermore, the Language Lead will perform translation and review tasks, create and maintain linguistic assets, and evaluate test translations of potential candidates.
