Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
College-level courses or a degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or Physical Sciences preferred
Previous laboratory experience preferred
General knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with a meal break
Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
Pass initial proficiency testing successfully
Demonstrate proficiency and continued growth following training, with competency verified at least annually

Responsibilities

Perform a single procedure or work instruction
Execute multiple analytical, microbiological, or quality system procedures within a Food Safety Laboratory
Maintain precision and accuracy in performing work instructions and collecting data
Maintain ISO records for process control
Comply with all quality system and safety requirements
Other duties may be assigned as needed
