Associates degree or completion of 60 semester credit hours from an academically accredited college or university
(3) years of experience in probation, juvenile detention, correctional, or adolescent behavioral setting
Combined education and experience: equivalent combination of post-secondary education and job-related experience in probation, juvenile detention, correctional, or adolescent behavioral setting may substitute on a year-for-year basis
Valid Arizona Driver’s License
Responsibilities
Mentoring staff
Directing shift activities on one of three shifts
Directing the transportation of youth to court or off-site
Supervising staff and youth on living units
Ensuring Arizona Juvenile Detention Standards are being met in daily activities
Performing administrative tasks such as record keeping for daily tasks, daily shift reports, and semiannual data collection
Supervising Juvenile Detention Officers or Surveillance Officers depending on the assignment
Assigned to other program areas as needed after gaining experience
