Requirements

  • 6 months of employment with one employer in the last 12 months
  • 1 year housekeeping/janitorial experience listed on the application
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willing to work in an environment with the sight and smell of meat products or any other product present when processing meat such as blood, fat, bone, spices
  • Able and willing to complete all required daily and weekly paperwork per SQF requirements
  • Willing to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends and be willing to accommodate shift start time changes
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation: withstand wet, humid, cold, and hot environment, work in a refrigerated area with ambient temperature of 40 degrees, repeatedly push, pull, lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk or stand for 8-12 hours per day on hard floors
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain restroom and locker rooms as well as break rooms and hallways: sweeping, mopping, wiping off tables, and trash removal
  • Follow a detailed cleaning schedule to support the complete plant cleaning process, working with a small team to complete daily
  • Empty/remove trash, clean, wax, mop and buff floors, clean windows, vacuum, run a floor scrubber and operate an all surface cleaner
  • Fill paper towel and toilet paper dispensers daily
  • Stripping of tile floors on weekends
  • Demonstrate strong team and organization skills
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication along with excellent follow-up and time management capabilities
  • Participate in safety training, reviews, investigations, as communicated
  • Report safety issues after mitigation, where possible
  • Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF System
  • Report any issues to appropriate facility management
  • Document effort using company systems (current system Megamation)
  • Adhere to Tyson Quality Policies and comply with the work rules and standards set forth
  • All other duties as assigned by management
