Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
Experience working with HPC job scheduling software supporting large scale batch workloads of a technical nature
Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
Proficient in Python, shell scripting, or other scripting languages (Experience with C/C++ is a plus)
SQL based database knowledge
Hands on experience with building and/or maintaining automation systems such as Chef, Puppet and Ansible
Knowledge of IBM Spectrum LSF or Slurm
Experience with monitoring, logging, and developing solutions that integrate with a compute farm
Great problem solving and debugging skills
Algorithms and data structure experience
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Strong desire to learn more about server farm and EDA software
Capable of interacting with technical and functional teams and communicating challenges and risks
Nice to have
Experience with a public cloud provider
Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of EDA software

Responsibilities

Support R&D users in EDA software development and IP designs using compute resources
Manage at least one US based cluster and meet operations SLA
Operate and enhance global compute farm
Partner with other IT members to create, deploy, and optimize farm solutions
Work closely with the InfoSec team to build and maintain environments that comply with high secure standards
Evaluate new technologies and service offerings that have the potential to improve the experience for the users
