Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience working with HPC job scheduling software supporting large scale batch workloads of a technical nature
  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Proficient in Python, shell scripting, or other scripting languages (Experience with C/C++ is a plus)
  • SQL based database knowledge
  • Hands on experience with building and/or maintaining automation systems such as Chef, Puppet and Ansible
  • Knowledge of IBM Spectrum LSF or Slurm
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and developing solutions that integrate with a compute farm
  • Great problem solving and debugging skills
  • Algorithms and data structure experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • Strong desire to learn more about server farm and EDA software
  • Capable of interacting with technical and functional teams and communicating challenges and risks
  • Nice to have
  • Experience with a public cloud provider
  • Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of EDA software

Responsibilities

  • Support R&D users in EDA software development and IP designs using compute resources
  • Manage at least one US based cluster and meet operations SLA
  • Operate and enhance global compute farm
  • Partner with other IT members to create, deploy, and optimize farm solutions
  • Work closely with the InfoSec team to build and maintain environments that comply with high secure standards
  • Evaluate new technologies and service offerings that have the potential to improve the experience for the users
