Responsibilities

  • Monitor computer terminal(s) for third party access, security, intrusion, and any building alarms
  • Maintain a daily log of events during assigned shift and escalate to appropriate partners as needed
  • Monitor critical incidents in real-time and respond to emergency situations including in-progress acts of violence, crisis, and any other incidents posing hazard to lives and property. Utilize appropriate escalation approaches and follow established best practices
  • Collect documentation for security incidents including reviewing and saving CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) video and completion of appropriate written documentation
  • Remotely support access control environments including security cameras, burglar alarm, access control (including credential administration), and key/core hardware administration. Support projects that leverage the physical security infrastructures
  • Look for opportunities to improve overall safety; work with teammates to investigate daily issues, identify discrepancies and address opportunities for improvement
  • Provide support for security related concerns, requests, and questions for all Nordstrom properties as needed
