Requirements

Background in security systems
2 years in service-based security operations preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and planning skills

Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

Monitor computer terminal(s) for third party access, security, intrusion, and any building alarms
Maintain a daily log of events during assigned shift and escalate to appropriate partners as needed
Monitor critical incidents in real-time and respond to emergency situations including in-progress acts of violence, crisis, and any other incidents posing hazard to lives and property. Utilize appropriate escalation approaches and follow established best practices
Collect documentation for security incidents including reviewing and saving CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) video and completion of appropriate written documentation
Remotely support access control environments including security cameras, burglar alarm, access control (including credential administration), and key/core hardware administration. Support projects that leverage the physical security infrastructures
Look for opportunities to improve overall safety; work with teammates to investigate daily issues, identify discrepancies and address opportunities for improvement
Provide support for security related concerns, requests, and questions for all Nordstrom properties as needed
