Requirements

Native speaker in Japanese (Japanese Native)
Fluent in English (source language)
At least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing, and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents
A tertiary or university degree in translation or linguistics and at least 3 years of translation experience OR no university degree and at least 5 years of translation experience
Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools

Responsibilities

Linguistically and culturally interpret written material to maintain or duplicate the structure and style of the original text while keeping ideas and facts accurate
Research industry-specific terminology
Demonstrate strong commitment to quality and accuracy and outstanding problem-solving skills with difficult content and instructions
Build strong relationships with the IQVIA Translations Services team
Work with the team to update or improve glossaries, Translation Memories, Style Guides, and other internal assets
Identify gaps in instructions or external issues that may affect client commitments
Act as a strategic partner in delivering translations on time and adhering to quality commitments to clients
Proofread translated texts for terminology, grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy
