Requirements

Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
Must be enrolled for at least one more semester after the internship concludes
Legal authorization to work in the US (no sponsorship provided)
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (preferred)
Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an accredited college or university in the greater Milwaukee area (preferred)
Experience with Power Electronics or motors (preferred)
Experience with design capture tools (preferred)
Able to work with schematic drawings (preferred)
Basic knowledge of circuit theory and operation, including microprocessors, digital logic devices, analog and/or DC-power conversion, programmable devices (CPLDs, FPGAs) (preferred)
Basic programming (C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript) (preferred)
Familiarity with tools such as CAD, Creoparametric, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), 3D Modeling, SAP, Matlab (preferred)
Experience with industrial automation environments including PLC or drives programming (preferred)
Experience using Agile methodology (preferred)

Responsibilities

Research new or replacement technologies and components (Electrical Development)
Assist in circuit design and component selection (Electrical Development)
Develop test requirements and execute hardware verification test plans for board level functional testing, EMC validation, Certification Agency compliance (UL, ATEX, IECEX), and Functional Safety (IEC 61508) (Electrical Development)
Perform programming, analysis, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware prototypes (Electrical Development)
Contribute to associated product design documentation and test reports (Electrical Development)
Design and development of scripts for automating test procedures (Electrical and Firmware Test)
Document test procedures (Electrical and Firmware Test)
Execute test procedures for verification of product functionality (manual/automated) (Electrical and Firmware Test)
Create test reports (Electrical and Firmware Test)
Assist with lab audit/improvement activities (Electrical and Firmware Test)
Assist with build and commissioning of test hardware platforms (Electrical and Firmware Test)
