Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred); no related experience required
Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform key job accountabilities may be considered
Ability to work in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment with required personal protective equipment
Physical stamina with strong manual dexterity and fine motor control for precise measurement equipment or delicate tools and components
Acute near vision and ability to work continually using magnifiers, cameras, and other vision systems
Majority of time spent standing and sitting, with limited lifting packages, moving material, and working around lifting/material movement equipment
Capability for repetitive computer tasks in different types of software for creating, editing, and saving quality records
Less than 40% travel

Responsibilities

Support and learn processes for ensuring product quality, including testing, analyzing data, identifying defects, and collaborating with the team
Ensure continuous quality compliance during manufacturing operations
Monitor ongoing manufacturing operations to address quality issues quickly; provide quality alerts and lead containment and purges when required
Lead development of inspection strategy for receiving inspection, pre-ship inspection, and out-of-box audits
Ensure Certificates of Compliance are created and maintained, including documentation of deviations
Ensure creation and maintenance of manufacturing quality history documentation as required
Support Quality Engineering initiatives and development of Quality initiatives
Understand and follow Plexus quality policy guidelines, customer specifications, and regulatory compliance; monitor own work for quality standards
Look for opportunities to improve quality, eliminate waste, deliver work to eliminate scrap or rework, and escalate issues to supervisors
Drive proactive continuous improvement on Yield & Quality Metrics, including designing templates for documents, file types, and document databases
Drive cross-functional teams to deliver continual improvement activities for internal processes and deliverables
Provide supervision to QA Inspectors/Technicians; guide QA operators, group leaders, and technicians in ongoing quality improvement activities
