Requirements

  • Professional experience in a Business Analyst/Technical Analyst role, specifically in data, analytics, or engineering environments
  • Ability to understand technical documentation: APIs, JSON/XML, CSV/Parquet, data contracts, schemas
  • Familiarity with working with engineers and asking “why/how” to uncover missing assumptions
  • Experience in writing detailed requirements, use cases, process flows, and translating business into technical specs
  • Familiarity with agile delivery practices, user stories, backlog grooming, iteration planning
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills: can oscillate between technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to own ambiguity and frame discovery tasks proactively

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to elicit, refine, and document clear business and technical requirements
  • Interpreting data schemas, API specifications, and vendor contracts to identify integration requirements and potential edge cases
  • Producing and maintaining structured documentation in Confluence, including process flows, data mappings, and system interactions
  • Supporting technical teams by clarifying requirements, defining acceptance criteria, and identifying upstream/downstream impacts
  • Leading the analysis and validation of third-party data inputs (e.g., file formats, schema consistency, delivery contracts)
  • Contributing to the definition of test scenarios and support regression test planning for key platform components
  • Ensuring backlog readiness by proactively grooming user stories, surfacing dependencies, and aligning with delivery milestones
  • Participating in planning, estimation, and retrospectives as part of the agile delivery process while promoting best practices in documentation, change tracking, and knowledge sharing
