Requirements

Candidates should possess an Intermediate level of experience with Go, and a strong understanding of distributed systems and their management, along with experience in observability and availability. Experience with distributed storage systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

As an Intermediate Backend (Go) Engineer, you will participate in architectural discussions and decisions surrounding Gitaly, design RPC interfaces for the Gitaly service, scope, estimate, and describe tasks to reach team goals, develop Gitaly in accordance with product goals, instrument, monitor, and profile Gitaly in the production environment, build dashboards and alerts to monitor service health, conduct acceptance testing, and educate team members on best practices for high availability. Additionally, you will write performant, maintainable, and elegant code, peer review code, and maintain a positive and solution-oriented attitude while contributing to continuous improvement.
