Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering in an industrial process environment (RNG, biogas, or gas pipeline experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SCADA systems, PLC programming, HMI development, Ignition software, and industrial networking
  • Strong understanding of process instrumentation, measurement technologies, and data acquisition systems
  • Experience working with ISA, NFPA, API, and similar standards
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems
  • Competence in data analytics and reporting tools
  • Project management experience related to controls and automation
  • Ability to read and understand Construction Documents and Specifications
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to respond quickly to changing project demands
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems across multiple RNG plants
  • Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting, collaborating frequently with plant operators to resolve technical issues and optimize operations
  • Develop, configure, and maintain SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control
  • Ensure accurate metering and data acquisition for compliance and regulatory reporting
  • Support commissioning and start-up of new or upgraded systems, including calibration and functional testing
  • Provide technical support to other departments including development, project delivery, and operations
  • Create preventative maintenance programs for all instrumentation and control assets
  • Assist with the development and deployment of cybersecurity protocols for control networks
  • Ensure that all work complies with industry codes, safety standards, and best practices
  • Document all system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities thoroughly
  • Lead and promote safety at all projects through deployment of industry best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of company goals and objectives
