The role requires experience in direct patient care across multiple dialysis modalities including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapies, apheresis, and ultrafiltration, along with supervisory skills for Patient Care Technicians and ICU staff, patient assessment, and accurate documentation.
The Inpatient RN works under limited supervision in hospital settings, partnering with hospital staff to deliver direct patient care in renal replacement and apheresis services, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
Strong candidates have considerable knowledge in diverse dialysis modalities, the ability to supervise technicians and educate ICU staff, skills in patient assessment and treatment adjustments, effective communication with healthcare teams, and attention to documentation and equipment preparation.
