Requirements

Experience coaching and reviewing work of lower-level specialists; may manage projects/processes
Specialized knowledge and skills in technical functions, particularly Supplier Quality Engineering
Familiarity with good manufacturing practices (GMP), quality standards, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements
Technical expertise in Pre-Market Quality Engineering, New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle, component engineering, and post-market supplier quality

Responsibilities

Ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services
Qualify suppliers according to company standards and administer Certified Supplier Program for receiving inspection to ensure cost-effectiveness
Monitor parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle, communicate, and resolve supplier-related problems
Develop and prioritize auditing schedule to ensure designated suppliers are audited regularly for GMP and quality standards
Evaluate suppliers' internal functions, assess overall performance, and provide feedback
Provide Pre-Market Quality Engineering support to NPD, partnering with Component Engineering and Post-Market Supplier Quality Teams to deliver quality parts, prevent defects, and ensure reliable products
Provide technical guidance and quality compliance for Supplier Quality engagement throughout NPD lifecycle on newly qualified parts
Implement strategies for driving product quality and continuous improvement
Collaborate with Component Engineers to develop Product Acceptance Sampling Strategy, Approved Supplier List coordination, Supplier Owned Quality deployment, and Control Plans for new products
Define Receiving Inspection requirements and associated test method validation for internal Medtronic Test Methods
Formulate, deliver, and/or manage assigned projects; work with stakeholders to achieve results
Act as mentor to colleagues or direct work of lower-level professionals
Contribute to work group objectives through building relationships and consensus
