Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services
  • Qualify suppliers according to company standards and administer Certified Supplier Program for receiving inspection to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Monitor parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle, communicate, and resolve supplier-related problems
  • Develop and prioritize auditing schedule to ensure designated suppliers are audited regularly for GMP and quality standards
  • Evaluate suppliers' internal functions, assess overall performance, and provide feedback
  • Provide Pre-Market Quality Engineering support to NPD, partnering with Component Engineering and Post-Market Supplier Quality Teams to deliver quality parts, prevent defects, and ensure reliable products
  • Provide technical guidance and quality compliance for Supplier Quality engagement throughout NPD lifecycle on newly qualified parts
  • Implement strategies for driving product quality and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Component Engineers to develop Product Acceptance Sampling Strategy, Approved Supplier List coordination, Supplier Owned Quality deployment, and Control Plans for new products
  • Define Receiving Inspection requirements and associated test method validation for internal Medtronic Test Methods
  • Formulate, deliver, and/or manage assigned projects; work with stakeholders to achieve results
  • Act as mentor to colleagues or direct work of lower-level professionals
  • Contribute to work group objectives through building relationships and consensus
