Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
3-4 years of proven experience as an Infrastructure Automation Specialist or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing automation solutions for complex infrastructure environments
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ruby, with the ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code
Hands-on experience with infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Familiarity with version control systems like Git to manage and track changes to automation scripts and configurations
Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand automation needs for various infrastructure components
Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts, tools, and frameworks to streamline provisioning, configuration, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure resources
Create and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to ensure consistent and reproducible infrastructure deployments
Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure changes, ensuring rapid and reliable updates
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation enhancement within the infrastructure and operations landscape
Monitor the performance and reliability of automated systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly
Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for infrastructure security and compliance within the automation processes
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to infrastructure automation, scripting, and orchestration
