Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of networking, servers, storage, and A/V technologies
  • Strategic thinking ability to develop long-term infrastructure plans and align them with business goals
  • Problem-solving ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues
  • Communication skills: ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences; solid written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills; fluent in English (written and oral)
  • 10+ years overall IT professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years as a Network design
  • Minimum 2 years Compute and Storage design
  • Minimum 1 year A/V design
  • Minimum 4 years experience in the design and delivery of customer-facing presentations
  • Minimum 2 years experience with architecture and strategic planning
  • Minimum 2 years experience with infrastructure automation
  • Experience running large scale Proof of Concept/Proof of Value evaluations
  • Experience running cost/benefit analysis of solutions

Responsibilities

  • Creating blueprints and roadmaps for the organization's IT infrastructure, considering current and future needs (Infrastructure Design and Planning)
  • Ensuring new and existing systems work together seamlessly and efficiently (System Integration)
  • Defining the technical standards and specifications for hardware, software, and network components (Technical Architecture)
  • Defining and documenting standards for IT infrastructure (Standards)
  • Implementing security best practices and ensuring the infrastructure adheres to relevant regulations and policies (Security and Compliance)
  • Tracking system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency (Performance Monitoring and Optimization)
  • Developing and implementing plans to ensure business operations can continue in the event of a disaster (Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity)
  • Working with various teams (IT, business units, vendors) to align infrastructure with business objectives and communicate technical solutions (Collaboration and Communication)
  • Working with Infrastructure engineering, implementation, and operations teams to drive automation of processes to increase efficiency and accuracy (Automation)
  • Other tasks as deemed necessary or appropriate
  • Drive strategy, architecture, standards, and designs for UMG’s IT infrastructure, ensuring it supports business goals and operations
  • Creating and maintaining the foundational technology systems, including networks, servers, storage, and A/V environments
  • Strategic planning, technical design, and ensuring the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and efficient
