Security Engineer / Security Officer (Full-Time)

Position Overview

Wyetech is seeking a self-starting, motivated individual to serve as the Lead Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the Signals Analysis Division. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance and strengthening the security posture of critical mission systems through the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The Lead ISSO will be responsible for managing 8-10 System Security Plans (SSPs).

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and an appropriate security clearance are mandatory. (e.g., Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for information systems.
• Support continuous monitoring of networks to detect and correct areas of security non-compliance, unmitigated vulnerabilities, and other risks.
• Follow consistent security processes and contribute to the information systems continuous monitoring program.
• Perform regular audits of information systems.
• Assist the information systems security manager in preparing information systems for periodic reaccreditation.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph.
• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience.
  • OR Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
  • OR Associate's degree or 18 semesters hours of military coursework/training in a computer-related field plus 10 years of relevant experience.
  • OR High school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered.
• Certification: Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Tier 1 certification.

Required Technical Skills

• Experience as an ISSO with emphasis on Defense-in-Depth principles, network, and enterprise security architecture.
• Experience applying the principles of NIST 800-53, including the procedures in the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Familiarity with STE/STN requirements.

Desired Technical Skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $71.91 - $115.80 per hour. (Hourly pay rates are a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary based on factors.)
