Requirements

Highly specialized and experienced in Information Security for SCI systems and networks
Expertise in ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, and relevant DoD/AFMAN directives
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes
Ability to serve as authoritative resource for HQ Special Security Officer (SSO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM)
Up-to-date knowledge of latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies

Responsibilities

Serve as Subject Matter Expert for SCI Information Security regulations, including ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, and DoD/AFMAN directives
Proactively identify system security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions and security controls
Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines for SCI systems and networks
Support RMF process by ensuring security controls are implemented, documented, and assessed for Authority to Operate (ATO)
Lead and participate in security incident response activities, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security incident initiation, mitigation, and reporting
Coordinate incident response and forensic activities with ISSM, SSO, command leadership, law enforcement, and government agencies
Monitor and report on latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to inform defensive strategies
Develop and deliver security awareness training programs and conduct initial/recurring briefings for SCI personnel
Develop and manage SOPs for pre-publication reviews of classified information and serve as liaison for compliant reviews
Manage classification reviews as liaison between requestors and Subject Matter Experts; maintain repository of SCI Security Classification Guides (SCGs)
Lead and coordinate internal self-inspections and serve as Information Security expert during external government audits and inspections (e.g., DCSA)
