Requirements

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
Two years of experience implementing automated security controls in an AWS console
Two years of experience performing security incident response for a web application
Two years of experience conducting vulnerability assessments on infrastructure
Two years of experience auditing cloud environments for security compliance
Two years of experience implementing security controls in a container/Kubernetes environment
Two years of experience with Windows and Linux administration and Endpoint Detection & Response technologies
Knowledge of CI/CD technologies, DevOps philosophies, and security gating techniques
Knowledge of OWASP best practices and web application defense
Knowledge of PCI and SOX compliance requirements
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Responsibilities

Work closely with DevOps teams, Database Architects, and third-party groups to ensure eBay meets commitment to provide customers and partners with a secure and trusted operating environment
Act as a core member of security incident response team by conducting security, compliance, and fraud investigations
Detect and respond to company-wide application and network layer security incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams to contain and eradicate threats
Identify indicators of compromise, build actionable alerts, and improve response mechanisms
Support vulnerability management program by identifying vulnerabilities, risk ranking, and remediation tracking and reporting
Support Sarbanes Oxley and PCI compliance, and conduct regular reviews of the environment for permissions, configurations, and other audit compliance
Develop and implement scalable preventative, detective, and reactive security measures
Build automation into the incident detection and response process
Monitor systems and periodically prepare reports assessing effectiveness on attempted breaches
Identify opportunities for TCG player security improvements throughout the attack framework
