Requirements

  • Completion and Possession of a red-seal Interprovincial Millwright Ticket
  • 1 to 3 years related experience preferred
  • Able to work flexible shifts
  • Ability to operate machinery and have basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel: create spreadsheet, format, print; Microsoft Word: write reports, create PDFs, attach pictures, format, print; CMMS System: create, update, close work orders; Email: create and manage emails)
  • Experience in a food processing & cooking facility is an asset
  • Be success-driven and have a “can-do” attitude
  • Be able to work independently, as well as be a strong team player
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Have a good attendance and safety record
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability to take up additional duties and cross-train
  • Tools Required: Steel toe/heel rubber boots (in good, clean repair with good tread), Hairnet, Clean smock, Hearing protection, Rubber gloves, Arm sleeves, Safety hats (when applicable), Safety goggles/glasses, General tool equipment (wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers etc.), Powered tools (grinders, saws, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Overhaul and install new equipment
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and building maintenance
  • Generate parts requests to ensure adequate inventory
  • Complete work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Senior Management in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform production line changes and production line setups as required
  • General Housekeeping – maintain tools, shop area, and parts storage in good working order (Clean as you go!)
  • Perform repair, replacement, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting in: tubing, fittings and air supply, pressure devices, level switch, temperature sensor, flow meters, regulators and valves, machinery lubrication, alignment of machinery, power drives, identify machine components, water pumps, pneumatic systems, hydraulic system, vacuum systems, fans and blowers, select pipes, valves and fittings, control system (sensor, limit switch, PLC input/output feedback), compressors, all filters, belts, bearings, gearbox, chains, welding
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Any other duties assigned
