Requirements

  • Willingness to work 2nd/3rd shift (C Shift) with a rotational schedule of 3-12 hour days one week and 4-12 hour days the next, starting at 6:00 p.m., including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Basic computer skills to navigate systems, perform data entry, and complete training
  • Ability to read manuals to repair equipment safely and follow all safety protocols
  • Ability to record information using company-provided forms and procedures
  • Ability to report to work as scheduled, work scheduled hours, have flexibility to work other jobs as needed, and work weekends/overtime
  • Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others, demonstrating positive interpersonal skills and effective communication with team members and management
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, hair net/beard guard, steel-toed boots, and gloves
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 70+ lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level
  • Physical ability to climb up/down stairs, work at elevated levels/various heights/confined spaces, stand/walk/perform job up to 10-12 hours/day with breaks, and bend/stoop/twist/stretch/climb/push/pull/reach
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot/warm to cold), damp/wet conditions, and on concrete floors
  • Attendance at monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)
  • Compliance with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reporting of violations

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies/procedures
  • Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production, including repairing/maintaining operating conditions and troubleshooting day-to-day problems
  • Perform work involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, general mechanics, and some welding
  • Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery
  • Complete daily documentation as required
  • Ensure personal safety and food safety
  • Perform other duties as assigned
