Requirements

  • Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds and stand 10-12 hours a day
  • Willingness to work in inclement environments (hot, cold, humid, icy, dusty, etc.) with temperatures from 20 to 100 degrees and around meat products (blood, fat, bones, hair, cattle products)
  • Either 12 months of industrial work experience or 6 months of continued education in at least two of: Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Plumbing, Welding, or Conveyor Maintenance
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with employees and management and read manuals for safe equipment repair
  • Willingness to complete all required training and perform any other duties as assigned
  • Open to working any shift (days, nights, weekends) and available for overtime
  • Ability to provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening (post-offer)
  • Pass background check (if required for the role)

Responsibilities

  • Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production
  • Perform work involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, and conveyor maintenance
  • Repair and maintain operating conditions of machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot problems in day-to-day facility operations
  • Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery
  • Complete daily required documentation
