Requirements

In-depth technical expertise in VMware (ESXi, vSphere), Nutanix (AHV), VxRail, HPE Simplivity, and Linux systems
Experience as an L3 engineer handling escalations and leading troubleshooting for complex issues
Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (network, security, application teams)
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools like PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible
Knowledge of high-availability solutions, storage systems, disaster recovery, performance monitoring, and capacity planning

Responsibilities

Provide advanced-level support in implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting Simplivity, Nutanix, VxRail, and Linux environments based on customer requirements and best practices
Manage and optimize virtualization platforms including VMware ESXi, vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Linux
Configure and maintain high-availability solutions, storage systems, and disaster recovery for HCI and Linux environments
Act as the final escalation point for resolving complex technical issues related to Simplivity, Nutanix, VxRail, and Linux infrastructure, including performance, availability, and critical incidents
Diagnose and resolve advanced issues related to vSphere storage, networking, plugins, Linux performance, kernel configurations, and system dependencies
Conduct advanced performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization for HCI platforms, Linux servers, and virtualization environments; analyze trends, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive measures
Lead integration of HCI solutions with third-party tools and applications (backup, disaster recovery, monitoring)
Design and implement automation scripts for repetitive tasks, configurations, and monitoring
Collaborate with network, security, and application teams for seamless integration and operations
Provide mentorship and guidance to L1 and L2 engineers, sharing best practices and knowledge
Document processes and contribute to knowledge management
