Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
  • Switchgear experience
  • Active Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license

Responsibilities

  • Design and specify medium- and low-voltage switchgear, switchboards, motor control centers (MCCs), and related power-distribution equipment for commercial, industrial, or utility projects
  • Perform load calculations, short-circuit, arc-flash, and coordination studies to ensure system safety and code compliance (NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E)
  • Prepare detailed drawings and documentation including one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, equipment layouts, and bill of materials
  • Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of switchgear and associated protection and control systems
  • Conduct site inspections to verify proper installation, witness factory and field acceptance tests, and generate punch-list reports
