Candidates should possess a University or Bachelor's degree in marketing or finance, with an advanced degree or MBA preferred. A minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in a combination of Marketing, Sales, and Business Planning is required. Experience in Consumer and/or Commercial Partner management, or End User Account management as an alternative, is also necessary. Strong knowledge of the IT industry, multidimensional business planning skills, and financial planning and modeling skills are essential. The role also requires strong communication skills for interacting with senior management both internally and externally, as well as knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices, and negotiation skills to effectively frame the product value proposition.
The HPC and AI Category Manager will define and manage the product offering, positioning, and pricing across the product life cycle for a given portfolio, guiding sales teams on product-related dimensions. This includes planning the business objective for a specific portfolio and achieving it through ongoing adjustments to product decisions. The role requires acting as the lead expert in competitive product knowledge, communicating and supporting sales forces on product strategies, and defining advertising and demand generation priorities in partnership with the Marketing function. Responsibilities also include actively contributing to the definition of the category business plan, establishing relationships and representing the team with the sales force and other partners at a senior level, and having product line and quota responsibility for a significant share of the product range or a specific customer segment. Additionally, the role involves functional responsibility for the team in areas like market analysis, marketing engagement, and sales force communication, potentially leading a subset of the team or overall engagement with sales teams and external IT vendors.
