Requirements

  • Must have 3 months prior experience in a meat processing facility
  • Preferred experience in Harvest roles: 1st Legger, 2nd Legger, 1st Butter, 2nd Butter, Low Backer, Head Dropper, Gullet Raiser, Gutter
  • Preferred experience in Processing roles: Pull Clod, Bone Chuck, Bone Arm, Bone Rib, Pull Tenders, Bone Tops, Seam Rounds
  • Willing and able to perform physical requirements: standing/walking/bending/stretching/climbing/pushing/pulling/reaching for 8+ hours per shift
  • Willing and able to work on a moving chain or table
  • Willing and able to work in hot, humid, damp environments with slippery surfaces
  • Able to lift, push, pull weights up to 80 lbs using physical force
  • Willing and able to work with knives, hooks, and wear required PPE
  • Able to climb stairs/ladders to elevated platforms
  • Provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Pass urinalysis screening (post-offer health assessment)
  • For Tyson rehires: 90-day minimum waiting period; rehires limited to B Shift (not A Shift)
  • Complete additional task after application submission

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery as intermediate operative general labor
  • Perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 80 lbs)
  • Use knives, hooks in skilled Harvest positions
  • Maintain production flow
  • Maintain safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies/procedures
  • Wear proper PPE
  • Stand at table/elevated platform or work on moving table/chain for 8+ hours
  • Work in Harvest department of beef processing facility (may involve detailed knife work)
