Requirements

  • Must pass a background check
  • Able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, turning, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, reaching, and lifting 40+ pounds
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination
  • Able to work in temperature extremes (65-99°F), humid/moist, dusty/wet, and all-weather/climate conditions (very cold to very hot)
  • Able to work 10-hour days on a typical schedule of 2:00am - 12:30pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), with flexibility for early hours, on-call duty, changing times/days based on hatchery needs, and all major holidays (including those on scheduled workdays)
  • Must be willing to work all holidays that occur on scheduled workdays
  • Must be able to understand and agree to follow safety rules
  • 180 days wait period from last termination date and cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before

Responsibilities

  • Perform various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Cull unthrift chicks from chick line during process to help send healthy chicks to broilers
  • Clean and sanitize the inside and outside of incubation machines, hallways, plenum hallway, drains, and various other locations throughout the facility
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor
