The position offers a pay rate of $25.85 per hour. This is a union position which includes union benefits and compensation, and salary may vary based on job responsibilities, location, experience, and other factors.

This is an on-site position at Diego Beekman, a 1,200-unit property in the Bronx, NY, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM and a rotational on-call weekend schedule.

Candidates need a minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance boiler mechanic, general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC, basic computer familiarity, excellent customer service skills, and general custodial skills. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, perform strenuous labor, read/write English, adhere to schedules, work with diverse groups, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment is also required.

The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, with a rotational on-call weekend schedule shared by two teams. The role also requires availability for on-call activity during off hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule.

Strong candidates will have the minimum 2 years of boiler mechanic experience and required skills, plus preferred qualifications like vocational/technical training, NYC CoF – S12, S13, S14, P99 certifications, or CAMT certification.
