Requirements

  • 6 months operator experience with one employer in the last 24 months (documented on application or resume)
  • 180 days wait period from last termination date
  • Not have worked for Tyson 3 times before (3X rule)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to shovel, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bend, stretch, and reach
  • Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions
  • Ability to maintain clean work area using soap and high-pressure hose
  • Ability to read and complete required logs
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio
  • Willingness to receive training as required
  • Willingness to perform various positions as assigned
  • Willingness to operate frontend loader or forklift (certification required if assigned)
  • Willing and able to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Critical thinking, ability to analyze situations, and develop effective solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and build positive relationships

Responsibilities

  • Loading and/or bagging all finished outgoing product
  • Inspecting trailers and tankers
  • Collecting samples
  • Completing and keeping documents
  • Working in production area as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintaining a safe work environment
  • Adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Maintaining and promoting the Tyson safety culture
  • Perform various general production tasks as required/assigned
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
