Requirements

Executive-level technologist with architectural rigor of a Principal Engineer, combined with operational scale and risk focus
Ability to lead unification of Cyber and Security Engineering, Quality Engineering (QE), and System Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams
Expertise in defining strategic roadmaps, organizational structures, and unified operational metrics (e.g., DORA metrics, SLIs/SLOs)
Proven talent recruitment, mentoring, and development skills to build world-class engineering teams
Deep knowledge of SRE practices, including Error Budget management, disaster recovery, observability (monitoring, logging, tracing), and incident management
Experience institutionalizing security-by-design, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and SDLC integration
Familiarity with high-bar security postures (e.g., Goldman Sachs standards) and compliance with regulatory/financial governance
Expertise in shift-left quality transformation, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering standards (e.g., IaC, immutable infrastructure)

Responsibilities

Define strategic roadmap and organizational structure for technology excellence, cyber security, quality assurance, and system resiliency, aligned with CTO vision and business objectives
Lead consolidation and harmonization of Cyber, QE, and SRE teams into a unified function with unified metrics for continuous improvement
Recruit, mentor, and develop world-class engineers/architects; foster culture of technical rigor, blameless post-mortems, and proactive risk mitigation; serve as top technical escalation point
Ensure operational stability, near-zero latency, and zero-downtime for index calculation engines and dissemination platforms
Drive adoption of advanced SRE practices: Error Budget management, disaster recovery, end-to-end observability
Own major incident response process and post-incident reviews to implement systemic improvements and reduce MTTR
Institutionalize security-first mindset: develop/implement security controls, threat modeling, automated compliance in SDLC
Direct threat/vulnerability management, protective/detection/response measures for critical data and IP
Ensure adherence to internal, regulatory, and industry standards for cyber risk and operational continuity
Champion shift-left quality transformation with automated, continuous, performance testing in CI/CD pipelines to reduce production defects
Define and enforce engineering standards, architectural patterns, and developer tooling for productivity, maintainability, and code quality
