Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Business Administration or related subjects or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Global procurement role with a focus on Tech & IT Category
  • Understanding of technologies and solutions
  • Understanding of key sourcing processes and tools as well as contractual and legal aspects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and persuasively
  • Experience in internal and external stakeholder relations management
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, pro-active & possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines or an agile environment
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information in a challenging and insightful manner
  • Unflagging attention to detail & demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of the information
  • Resourceful, inquisitive, and excited about innovative technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong client service orientation
  • Strong and articulate verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Products

Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of global category and subcategory strategies in collaboration with the Global Procurement Director Tech & IT, CTO Direct reports, and business stakeholders
  • Manage and lead global category initiatives and projects
  • Lead contract negotiations, specification definition, monitor supplier performance, specification development and demand management
  • Support development of innovation programs, manage supplier risks and conduct regular business reviews
  • Support in analysis of supply market, understanding product/services being purchase within category, internal demand/specification, and internal best practices
  • Identify and analyze strategic sourcing options under the guidance of the Global Category Director
  • Run and support tender process, including seeking approvals from Global Category Director, SVP Global Procurement and other internal stakeholders as required
  • Challenge and provide options on current working practices, specifications and demands for category
  • Harmonize specification(s) with business stakeholders to standardize demand
  • Create negotiation plan and support Global Category Director with supplier negotiations
  • Ensure adherence to signing authorities
  • Communicate contracts to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage relationship with preferred suppliers
  • Support Global Category Director with regular performance reviews of preferred suppliers
  • Support actions on continuous improvement plan with preferred suppliers
  • Support development of alternative suppliers
  • Support development and implementation of contract KPI’s
  • Lead contract drafting, reviews, proactive contract renewals, ensure contracts are updated in the system
  • Conduct supplier compliance reviews (i.e. use of supplier within sites, payment terms in the system)
