Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience as a General Ledger Accountant. Strong analytical and accounting skills are required, along with proficiency in financial reporting and reconciliation processes. Familiarity with multi-currency accounting and intercompany transactions is also necessary.
The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly financial reports, annual financial statements, and other internal and external reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. They will also prepare and post general ledger journal entries, calculate and post accruals and prepayments, reconcile inter-company accounts, prepare multi-currency bank reconciliations, conduct variance analysis, and provide information to management and other departments. Additionally, the role involves supporting the transition of functions to other locations, preparing corporate packages, and collaborating with external audit staff.
