Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, with 4-6 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role. Required technical skills include proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Linux, Python, Bash, or Go. Experience with production service deployments using Kubernetes, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, developing large-scale Ansible automation, and strong background in monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and ELK Stack are essential. Experience leading large-scale technical projects is also required.

Responsibilities

The Gateway DevOps Engineer will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and product teams to build and maintain resilient systems, focusing on automation, CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native operations for Zoom's gateway services. Responsibilities include deploying and managing services across multi-cloud and on-premises environments, monitoring infrastructure, developing automation to reduce manual effort, and serving as the on-call owner for assigned services such as Zoom AIC, Whiteboard, Notes, and Zoom Live Caption/Translation. The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure in AWS, leading complete service deployment and monitoring, and following best automation practices to reduce toil and lead automation efforts.
