Requirements

  • Deep technical expertise across infrastructure domains, including servers, networks, storage, virtualization, cloud, and M365 services
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL-aligned Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow (or equivalent tools) for ticket monitoring, validation, and prioritization
  • Experience in technical leadership, escalation handling, and root cause analysis
  • Ability to maintain end-to-end visibility of client technical environments and ensure compliance with security, privacy, and service delivery policies
  • Client-oriented mindset with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Capability for hands-on remediation, troubleshooting, and participation in projects

  • Availability to be based in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, or Vancouver

Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead and primary infrastructure owner for the client’s IT environment, ensuring stability, performance, and operational excellence
  • Provide technical excellence and guidance across servers, networks, storage, virtualization, cloud, and M365 services
  • Guide and direct infrastructure-related escalations from NOC and Service Desk; collaborate with IGS and branch teams to resolve incidents
  • Offer operations-specific technical guidance for ongoing projects and drive efficiencies, stability, and security
  • Participate hands-on in remediation and troubleshooting activities
  • Monitor incident and service SLAs, ticket queues, and ensure timely updates and resolutions
  • Adhere to ITIL-aligned processes for Incident, Change, and Problem Management; validate tickets and act as escalation resource for major incidents (SPINs)
  • Participate in problem investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions; review change requests for completeness
  • Maintain end-to-end view of client environment, proactively identify issues, and ensure devices, configurations, and backups align with standards
  • Oversee documentation accuracy on client portal and produce regular status, change, and problem management reports
  • Build relationships with Site Manager and client stakeholders; provide updates on technical changes, risks, and developments
  • Participate in client-facing meetings, contribute to technology roadmap discussions, and support business continuity planning
  • Coordinate team collaboration and light leadership between service delivery teams, Site Manager, and client
