Job Description: Software Engineer

Position Overview

  • Location Type: OnSite
  • Employment Type: FullTime
  • Salary: $150,000 - $250,000 (Target range, may vary based on experience)

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies make rockets, jets, and satellites 10x faster and 2x cheaper. We are a lean but mighty team (and growing!) passionate about building critical infrastructure to support the nation and the advancement of humanity. We have raised over $200M from leading investors.

Flow is our FactoryOS, a platform composed of internal and external applications. Internally, we build software to inform, augment, and replace work in the factory – for example, processing customer requests, analyzing complexity, load balancing work, and providing dynamic price quotes. Externally, our software helps customers interface with Hadrian and manage their supply chain.

This role offers the opportunity to scope, architect, implement, and deploy critical applications, own a product vertical, and work directly with customers to drive the roadmap. You'll be building alongside an incredible team of engineers, operators, and machinists. You'll receive autonomy and significant room to grow.

Requirements

  • Bias to action and pride in your work.
  • Care more about finding the right solution than being right.
  • Tech-lead experience with critical projects or initiatives.
  • Experience working on large, complex codebases.
  • Extensive experience shipping modern, full-stack applications (React/Next/Typescript front-ends, Go and Python back-ends).
  • Product-minded and user-driven.
  • Excitement for a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Previous or future founder experience (with potential investment and investor introductions).
  • Ability to work from our Los Angeles Factory (Torrance).

Responsibilities

  • Scope, architect, implement, and deploy critical applications.
  • Own a product vertical and potentially build a team.
  • Work directly with internal and external customers to drive the roadmap.
  • Build alongside an incredible team of engineers, operators, and machinists.
  • Contribute to a high-stakes, quick-iteration environment.

Hadrian

Automated factories for precision metal components

About Hadrian

Hadrian builds automated factories to produce precision metal components for the Space & Defense industry. These factories are designed to manufacture parts for rockets, satellites, jets, and drones much faster and cheaper than traditional machine shops. By automating the manufacturing process, Hadrian can deliver flight-grade machined parts in as little as 5 to 21 days, depending on the complexity of the part. The company uses advanced scheduling and capacity management systems to ensure timely delivery and provides customers with real-time visibility into their orders, including inspection results. Unlike its competitors, Hadrian focuses on creating a highly efficient production environment that significantly reduces costs and improves production speed. The goal is to enhance the manufacturing capabilities of their customers and support them in bringing new products to market more effectively.
