Requirements

3+ years of generalist software development experience in high growth startups
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of multiple programming languages (primarily Python, Elixir, JavaScript—knowledge of these not required)
Web development experience with React
Experience using GraphQL for API development
Experience with modern frontend applications (exposure to Next.js preferred)
Excellent product instincts—prioritize users over technical solutions
Ability to mentor others and build inclusive, supportive teams

Responsibilities

Enhance the Breaks experience by improving end-to-end performance and delivering the best buyer and seller experience
Reimagine Auctions by innovating to make bidding more dynamic, engaging, and rewarding
Build feature consistency across mobile and web
Provide data to help sellers identify high-performing listings and prevent missed opportunities
Add deeper telemetry to optimize livestream and auction flows
Build with latest technologies (Apollo, Next.js) and modern languages (Python, Elixir) to deliver performant, high-quality experiences
