Requirements

  • Act as SQF Practitioner with knowledge of SQF standards and audit documentation
  • Experience in food safety, quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and SQF requirements
  • Ability to lead management reviews, internal audits, CAPA processes, and corrective actions
  • Capability to oversee cleaning/sanitation programs, master sanitation schedules, pest control, and food safety plans
  • Proficiency in metrics gathering, trending, reporting, and performance communication
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to identify gaps and propose process changes
  • Experience in personnel coaching, supervisory development, performance reviews, and training delivery
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 production environment, respond to escalations, provide coverage, and assist with staffing/recruiting
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, implementation, and verification of the Food Safety & Quality Management System
  • Ensure enforcement and continuous improvement of Food Safety and Quality Systems for SQF compliance
  • Oversee development, implementation, and execution of cleaning/sanitation program and Master Sanitation Schedule
  • Lead the Management Review process, evaluating and improving FSQA programs
  • Act as SQF Practitioner, maintaining compliance and documentation for audits
  • Assist in gathering, trending, and reporting metrics on performance
  • Work with plant FSQA teams and cross-functionally to identify gaps and propose process changes
  • Act as backup to FSQA Manager, managing quality assurance and leading QA team
  • Respond to escalations and provide solutions in 24/7 production environment; provide coverage support
  • Work with recruiting to staff shifts and assist supervisors in personnel coaching
  • Identify gaps via internal audits or CAPA and provide/implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to address non-conformities and drive continuous improvement
  • Deliver training to plant FSQA teams on program rollouts
  • Communicate with plant/corporate stakeholders on new/updated programs and critical issues
  • Lead weekly supervisory meetings
  • Serve as subject matter expert for new program rollouts
  • Identify and coach supervisory team on developmental opportunities
  • Conduct performance reviews on direct reports
