Requirements

Experience in freestyle skiing coaching, particularly with Comp Team and FIS athletes
Knowledge of USASA, US Ski and Snowboard, and FIS course setting standards
Ability to design and implement training plans, technical teaching progressions, and methodologies
High standards for safety in training environments
Skills in video analysis and conducting sessions
Capability to coordinate team travel, supervision, transportation, lodging, and event duties for competitions
Strong communication skills with parents, athletes, and staff
Ability to maintain facilities, equipment, and enforce code-of-conduct
Availability for seasonal part-time work starting approximately 9/8/2025

Responsibilities

Provide leadership in daily training for program participants with the Freestyle Head Coach
Communicate effectively with parents and athletes
Prepare and implement technical teaching progressions, methodologies, and content for daily training in conjunction with Freestyle Head Coach and Program Senior Manager/Director
Set and maintain courses and closures following USASA, US Ski and Snowboard, and FIS standards
Ensure high safety standards in all training environments and maintain facilities/equipment
Conduct video analysis sessions with participants regularly
Lead athlete goal setting meetings at start, mid-season review, and end of season
Coordinate team travel to freestyle events and competitions, including supervision, van transportation, team captain meetings, lodging, and on-hill coaching
Provide daily positive feedback and submit mid-season/year-end written evaluations
Assist athletes/families with obtaining equipment from manufacturers
Participate in coaches meetings, briefings, and professional functions as directed
Work closely with Freestyle comp team coaches and Head Coach
Plan spring, summer, fall on/off-snow camps and dryland activities with Sr Manager/Director and Sports Performance Manager
Maintain friendly attitude, report unsafe conditions, attend weekly Competition Center director meetings, enforce code-of-conduct, and address breaches immediately
