Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and have 1-3 years of hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms, including services like EC2, S3, VPC, and RDS. Furthermore, they should have 1-2 years of experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments and 1-2 years of experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

The Forward Deployed Engineer will rapidly deploy and customize Kubernetes-based applications across diverse environments, including SaaS offerings and customer-managed infrastructures, and design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure, ensuring high availability and resilience. They will implement and manage monitoring solutions using Datadog to proactively identify and address system issues, manage Kubernetes clusters utilizing Helm for package management and deployment automation, develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, and create automation scripts in Python or Bash to streamline operations. Additionally, the Engineer will collaborate closely with sales, development, and operations teams, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to OS, networking, and databases in cloud-based environments, maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, and respond to incidents.
